Introduction
Viper is a Personal Information Manager (PIM) suite for PDAs
(Personal Digital Assistants) developed by TUXIA to address the growing need
for a stable, robust, flexible, highly secure and high performance platform.
The founder of this project is Peter
Hartshorn.
The current maintainer of this project is:
Matthew Wlazlo
Viper key components include:
- Kernel (currently Linux 2.4)
- glibc-2.1
- Graphical user interface (using Nano X)
- A range of Personal Information Manager (PIM)
applications*
* All applications are written with using a combination of
FLTK (Fast Light Tool Kit) and Nano-X.
Seamless support for Microdrive Compact Flash
russian online in our Russian Language School [1GB Microdrive]
- Auto detects Compact Flash and auto creates Compact Flash
directory
- Auto detects Compact Flash partitions
- Support for ext2 and FAT file systems
* Automatically un-mounts Compact Flash file systems when
not in use. (It is recommended to remove Compact Flash when no longer required
as the system checks are executed every 1 sec.)

The basic procedure of subscription is:
1. You send an e-mail to majordomo@lists.tuxia.org with
"subscribe viper" in the body. 2. You'll then recieve a
confirmation mail with a string of authentification command. 3. Send an
e-mail back to viper@tuxia.org with the string of authentification command only
in the body.
